We present the new international journal Rhetoric & Science, which belongs to the field of Classical Philology, Rhetoric and Science. The international conference entitled ‘Mapping the Rhetoric of Science Writing in Antiquity and Beyond’, organized in March 2019 by the Ancient World Study Laboratory of the Department of History of the Ionian University, was its starting point.

The present volume is a Festschrift in honour of the distinguished Byzantinist Costas N. Constantinides. The title of the volume reflects Professor Constantinides’ major contribution to the fields of Greek palaeography, editions of Byzantine texts, Byzantine history, scholarship and education, and Cypriot manuscripts and culture. | Editors: Charalambos Dendrinos, University of London, UK; Ilias Giarenis, Ionian University, Corfu, Greece.

The volume was edited by the Professor of the Department of History of I.U. Vaios Vaiopoulos, and includes an article by himself and Prof.Em. Theodosiou Pylarinos, as well as articles by Prof. Nikolaos Karapidakis and Assoc. Prof. Elias Giarenis.

This collective volume provides a fresh perspective on Homeric reception through a methodologically focused, interdisciplinary investigation of the transformations of Homeric epic within varying generic and cultural contexts.
