The Department of History, Politics and International Studies and Strategy International in collaboration with the UNESCO Chair "On threats to Cultural Heritage and its related
activities" and the Geocultural Analysis Laboratory of the Ionian University invite you to the public on line lecture of Professor Alexis Papadopoulos on the topic: "Vincentian Praxis in French State Formation From "Nantes" to the Peace of Utrecht (1598-1715)".

Alexis Papadopoulos joined the Department of Geography at DePaul University in Chicago in 1992 and helped transform the Department into a nationally recognized undergraduate
program. He has received the Excellence in Teaching Award and the Cortelyou-Lowery Award of Excellence (his College's highest award for excellence in teaching, research and service). In 2019 the American Geographers Association awarded him its highest teaching honor, the Harm de Blij Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.


Professor Alexis Papadopoulos of DePaul University, Chicago is a Fulbright Scholar for research and teaching at the Geocultural Analysis Laboratory (GeoLAB) of the Department of Foreign Languages Translation and Interpreting and the UNESCO Chair of the Ionian University for 2023.


The presence of Professor Alexis Papadopoulos will give the participants a unique opportunity to come into contact with major issues of recent European history through
original interdisciplinary approaches.


The lecture will take place on Friday, April 7, 2023 18.00 Cyprus time online, will last 40 minutes and will be followed by a 20-minute dialogue with the students. The lecture will be held in English and questions can be submitted either in English or in Greek.
