Charalambos Kourgiantakis is a member of the Laboratory and Teaching Staff in the Department of History - Ionian University, with a cognitive/teaching subject "Pedagogics-History Didactics". In the inter-university/inter-institutional (Department of History and Department of Informatics of the Ionian University, Foundation of Greater Hellenism, Hellenic Mathematical Society) Postgraduate Course entitled "Historical Research, Didactics and New Technologies" he teaches the subject "Modern trends in teaching and learning. Innovative approaches to the teaching of History".
His publishing work includes the monographs School History; soul training or suffering?, Corfu: Apostrofos, 2001, The present and the future of the past, Athens: Kedros, 2012 and Silver in the mine, Athens: Oselotos, 2019, the co-edition (with with K. Angelakos) of the collective volume Modern Approaches to the Teaching of History, Athens: Asini, 2024, as well as papers in relevant -Greek and international- scientific journals and collective volumes.
His scientific/research interests are related to History as a research and teaching subject and, in particular, to the psychological-pedagogical and practical dimension of the teaching process.
