Angeliki Mouzakiti completed undergraduate and postgraduate (MA and PhD, specialization in History of Southeastern Europe) studies at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. From 2021 onwards she is conducting postdoctoral research at the Democritus University of Thrace (Department of Language, Literature and Culture of the Black Sea Countries).  She has worked several years at the secondary education and during the period 2013-2017 she focused on the history of Greek-Romanian relations in the context of her appointment as Lecturer in Modern Greek Language, History and Culture at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi in Romania. During the period 2017-2022 she held a full-time position as a member of the Laboratory and Teaching Staff at the Department of language, Literature and Culture of the Black Sea Countries(Democritus University of Thrace, Komotini, Greece) (Subject area: History and Culture of the Balkan and Black Sea Region). During that period she taught both undergraduate and MA courses on Modern and Contemporary History of the Balkans and the Black Sea Region and Greek Language Education in the Black Sea Countries. She has participated in several academic conferences in Greece and abroad, co-edited books and published several journal articles and conference papers. Since 2023 Angeliki Mouzakiti is a member of the Laboratory and Teaching Staff at the Ionian University(Faculty of Humanities/Faculty of History & Translation-Interpreting, History Department).
