The survey-and-excavation component of the project seeks to locate and study one of the collective centers of the classical deme of Sounion — possibly including the site of the so-called “Leukios Agora”.

We document architecture, road systems, workshops, sanctuaries, and mining infrastructure, using traditional methods and cutting-edge technologies like laser scanning and pXRF analysis.
