Μαθηματικός, πτυχιούχος του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Μεταπτυχιακό Δημογραφίας στο London School of Economics και διδακτορικό δίπλωμα από το Πανεπιστήμιο του Λίβερπουλ. Ανώτερη μεταδιδακτορική ερευνήτρια στο Τμήμα Κοινωνιολογίας και Κοινωνικής Πολιτικής του Πανεπιστημίου του Southampton. Λέκτωρ του Τμήματος Κοινωνικής Στατιστικής του Πανεπιστημίου του Southampton και λέκτωρ του Τμήματος Κοινωνιολογίας του Πανεπιστήμιου Κρήτης. Εμπειρογνώμων του Κέντρου Contemporary Research into Regional Economic Development. Έχει δημοσιεύσει πολλές επιστημονικές εργασίες σε διεθνή και ελληνικά επιστημονικά περιοδικά και βιβλία σχετικά με τη Δημογραφία.
